my former co-worker and roommate (thanks to SDA’s idea to shove any and all together) put this next video on my myspace page. for some reason i didn’t see it right away but man its a gold mine. honestly, hyung gon looked at me differently after watching it.
in other news, we started the paperwork today for a fiance visa. after hearing personal stories from a few couples, we agreed this was the way to go. initally we were going to try for a student visa, but there was only a 50% it would work out. that’s a bit too risky for this bride-to-be (hahaha…gross. freaks me out just saying that!).
anyways, it felt really good to tackle these initial steps. it all seems harmless enough, minus the pricey application fee. but again, just a small point of the big picture. yee-haw!!
first time concert goer, long time listener - bjork was amazing in show. she totally reignited my long time love for her. i’m posting this video because 1. its funkdafied! and 2. ‘declare independence’ was one of my favorite songs that she performed. enjoy (except for matthew, he’s already told me how he feels about her :()!
this video is for anyone who has been or is in korea. sorry for those that don’t fall into this category, but i hope you can enjoy the effort.
first item on the agenda: happy birfday to my brother! i won’t reveal his age for fear he might loose some street cred…but i’ll tell you what, he could still kick your ass at any sport.
now on to tuesday’s YouTube enlightenment:
this video astonishes me. snoopie has grown so much since our days of gin n’ juice. this video is dedicated to my supa fly friend emily who shares the love of the d-o-double g.
p.s. if you click here, you can see snoop’s interview. one of my all time favorite LKL’s!

this blog updated while sipping a cup of korean koffee
i’ve got lots of time and little on the mind. what better way to keep busy than countless hours on YouTube? and i thought hey, lets make this a win-win situation. i get my way with you and in turn you supply my blogees with funny. deal? deal.
i present for your approval:
made it back to korea eeeearly this morning and i’m feeling all kinds of emotions. i’m all over the place so if there was a word to describe how i feel it would contain the letters ‘q’ ‘x’ ‘z’ and maybe a ‘b’ somewhere in there. let me explain:
i’m so happy to be back here with the fiance, not to mention i missed my kimchi ^^ at the same time, i miss the travels.
then there’s the joy of going back to chicago soon, but the dread of having to leave here. dah!
i think one day at a time is how i’m gonna take it. in the mean time, i’ll have a bath and put on some b.marley to enjoy the chillin’.
if there’s time tomorrow, i’m planning to do pics and maybe a financial statement to satisfy jael’s needs.
after a seven hour train ride, i made it to the city of…what would you call this place? city of almost developed but not quite? city of rushed into building tall towers that are astheically crap? well, whatever you wanna call it, i’m gonna call it cool and here’s why.
i found the best hostel ever from hostelbookers.com. the site is amazing. the place i’m staying at is called equator hostel and it is freakin’ fab. especially the fact that i’m paying less than $10/night. also, it sits behind the largest shopping mall in malaysia. i mean not that i want to peruse through shops like aldo, mango, and the body shop…but it is nice for the grocery store and a cup o’ joe.
tomorrow i hit the tourist run around the city. only one day to play and on tuesday its back to bangkok. oh i wish all of you were here with me…i miss my fwiends.
currently listening to: loww from step up 2 soundtrack
that’s right, step up 2. i saw it this evening and i swear if there was a hip hop club or even someone driving by bumping enough bass, i would’ve busted some poppin’ and lockin’!
i’m such a sucker for those dance movies. except honey…that one was exceptionally lame (i think it had to do with jessica alba). but i love save the last dance. oooooh, that one had me ready to wrap a scarf over my hair and wear big hoop earrings…hahaha.
lets see, what else…its been raining a lot here. luckily there’s enough time in the morning to go for a swim. the rain has usually started around noon so i have lunch and wait for the eye of the storm.
i love this place they have here called ‘toast box’. of course toast is the main item. you can get it with butter and sugar, or they have an awesome coconut spread called ‘kayo.’ paired up with a coffee or iced tea, it is the best. and for only about two bucks or so, it rocks my socks! i’ll have to take a picture next time i go, and there WILL be a next time.
and last but not least, i saw george clinton a couple days ago. he was performing in the music festival. unfortunately i couldn’t (aka wouldn’t pay $40) see his show but i did see him participate in a local comedian’s act. he could totally be my godfather…you know, from back in my catholic days…
